The very top of the patio door is 1 1/8" wide . The panals are installed with hardware for permanent fit.
The main body of the patio insert is 7/8" thick.
The height of your patio door should be measured from inside the grooves where your door slides.
If buying a super large door, make sure there will be enough room left after installing the pet patio panal for you to still be able to use your patio door.
